The NCTCA Executive Committee has voted to suspend scholarships for one year, until a review can be made regarding the affect this practice has on our tax exempt status as an organization. We are sad to announce that no scholarships will be awarded from the Collectors Association for 2012.
About our 2011 Winners
Erin Heavner
Ms. Heavner plans on attending the North Carolina State University. Her goal is to graduate from their College of Veterinary Medicine and open her own veterinary hospital.
Laura Basnight
Ms. Basnight will be attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She intends to double major in History and Studio Art. After graduation, her goal is becoming a photographer for the people in her community and surrounding areas.
Mitchell Loftin
Mr. Loftin's choice of higher education will be the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mitchell has numerous interests including medicine, business, political science, law, as well as computer science. He is undecided about his career path at the present.
Each year we have a very talented group of young adults who apply for our annual scholarships and 2011 is certainly no exception. Our associations are proud of each and every one of our applicants and wish all of them the best in their future endeavors.
