I want to thank everyone again for their participation with the NCTCA annual Conference. We had a wonderful program and many excellent educational opportunities. For those who were unable to attend, I want to share the recognitions that where presented at the conference.

Awards were presented this year for both the Tax Collector of the Year and Tax Employee of the Year.

David Reid, Transylvania County Tax Administrator (Retired), was presented the Tax Collector of the Year award.

Julie Berger, Deputy Director of tax collections, was presented the Tax Employee of the Year award.

The NCTCA and NCAAO Education Committees are pleased to announce that IAAO 201, Appraisal of Land, will be offered at the NCTCA Spring Conference in Greensboro the week of April 13 to 17, 2015.

Class size will be limited to 35 attendees on a first come, first serve basis.  The cost of the course is $350 and the registration deadline (with payment)is March 6th.

The course will be held at the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons, 3121 High Point Rd, Greensboro NC 27407.

The Hertford County Register of Deeds and the Secretary of State Land Records Program are sponsoring a free workshop "Hertford County Indexing and Research Workshop" on October 11, 2013 in Winton.  This workshop is good for 4 hours of NCTCA continuing education credit.

The 2013 NCABLO Annual Conference will be held Oct 9th – Oct 11th at the Blockade Runner Resort in Wrightsville Beach.
